Markus Juvonen defended his PhD thesis entitled Inverse Problems in Photography: From Deconvolution to Dataset Design and Creative Reconstruction on Friday, January 9, 2026 at the University of Helsinki. The opponent was lecturer Jonas Latz from the University of Manchester, UK.
Markus’s thesis is remarkable as it paved the way to several directions in photography-related mathematics.
