The Finnish Nuclear Society elected me to represent University of Helsinki in the Board of 2023. I am really excited about this position at the time of the world’s first geological disposal (in Finland!) of spent fuel and the rise of small modular reactors (SMRs). Nuclear energy plays a significant role in the transition away from fossil fuels.
